Apocalypse Now 3, Whiskey Jugs 5
Melrose - December 15, 2017: Nobody likes playng in conditions like these. It was the home opener for Apocalypse Now but it was snowing throughout the game which made it difficult to get anything going. In the end, the Whiskey Jugs came away with a sloppy 5-3 win over the aging Apocalypse Now.
Slap Shots:: Guido Sever was making his triumphant return since having double knee surgery. He looks 100%...Rob Moore scored the third season opening goal of his career. Jason Allard still holds the record for the most season opening goals at 4...Brian Labossiere was called up to fill in for the guys who were AWOL...the last time these teams met in January 2016, Patrick Nikolaus managed to play for both teams.
