Melrose - December 15, 2017: The Whalers took advantage of an immobile Apocalypse Now team and came back to steal a win, 3-2. Apocalypse went up early with 2 powerplay goals but couldn't mount any offensive threat after that. "We're just not fully in tune yet," Patrick Nikolaus said.
Slap Shots:: Two Apocalypse Now players were the referees on the night Beansy Ellis reffed the first game and Craig Stapon did the second game...this was the first time that the Whalers beat Apocalypse Now in 8 attempts...Jim Heim was playing in his 62nd consecutive game and is the current ironman.
