Valley Gardens – December 12, 2010 – A pre-season may have helped. A lack of
conditioning was very obvious as Apocalypse Now suffered their first loss of
the season at the hands of WBC United. The
Apocalypse Now trailed 3-1 after the first half, and Guy Sever scored early in
the second to close the gap but they just couldn’t get the equalizer despite
continued pressure and many opportunities.
Notes: Patrick Nikolaus’ assist on the second goal was his 50th
career point. He has 22 goals and 28 assists in 107 games. He also moves past
Duncan McKay into 19th place in all-time scoring…this was the first
time Apocalypse lost to WBC United as they beat them once in the regular season
last year and shut them out in the play-offs.
