Apocalypse Now 2, Thunderbolts 1
Melrose (TICKER) – February 5, 2012: It was the last game on the Apocalypse Now Spongee schedule and they wanted a win to go into the play-offs on a high note. They got it as they defeated the Thunderbolts, 2-1 in a hard fought battle, on a warm Sunday afternoon. "It was so warm out there, Gary Ledrew wouldn't have complained," Jim Heim said.

Guy Sever got the game winning goal. It was his fourth of the season, which ties Rob Burnett's record...Apocalypse Now won the season series against the Thunderbolts 2 games to one...Jason Allard won the scoring title. It was the second time in his career that he has won it. The last time was in the 2007-08 season.
