Apocalypse Now 3, Test Eagles 7
Melrose - January 13, 2019: The Test Eagles are one of the youngest teams in the Kildonan Sponge Hockey League and they were playing one of the oldest. In the end, youth won out as they came away with an easy 7-3 beating which included an empty net goal.
Slap Shots:Myron Fiks scored the game opening goal and extended his goal scoring streak to 5 games...Jim Heim was celebrating his birthday and was rewarded by leaving the net with 4 minutes left and playing left wing. He was still wearing his goalie shorts and Brian Wiebe commented that "he looked like a kite out there flying all around the ice."
