Apocalypse Now 4, Test Eagles 7

Melrose – February 9, 2016: Apocalypse Now are not known for their dramatic comebacks. Fans were already starting to file out of Melrose when the Test Eagles took a boneheaded penalty and the potent Apocalypse Powerplay was on display. Jeff Wrobleski buried two power play goals to be the catalyst of a comeback. The red hot Jason Allard tied it up shortly after but the Test Eagles were not going to be denied and broke the tie late in the game. Apocalypse pulled Heim to go with the extra attacker but the Eagles scored into the empty net and then got another one on Jim Heim before time expired. Slap Shots:It was Wrobleski’s 62nd multiple goal game in his career…It was the 21st time in Myron Fik’s career that he assisted on three or more goals in a game. His career high is 6 assists in a game versus the B’Z which formed part of his record breaking 23 assist season in 2006-07. it was Fik’s first penalty in 62 games…it was the 22nd time in his career that Allard opened the scoring in a game.
