Apocalypse Now 5, Test Eagles 6

Melrose - January 12, 2020: Facing one of the worst teams in the league, sporting a 0-7 record, Apocalypse Now had a golden opportunity to pick up two points Sunday afternoon at Melrose. Unfortunately, it went to waste. The Test Eagles scored early and often and got some favourable calls from Paul the Ref. An early whistle resulted in a disallowed Bryan Wiebe goal. In the end they defeated the Horsemen, 6-5 for their first win of the season. Slap Shots:Apocalypse Now are on a 3-game losing streak. They have not lost 3 games in a row since the last 3 games of the 2015-16 season...Wiebe's allowed goal was the 65th of his career, thanks to his Little stick...it was the 26th time in his career that Myron Fiks has had 3 assists or more in a regular season game...Pete Tavares got his 20th career goal and 20th career assist in the game.
