Morse Place– January 16, 2008 – Apocalypse Now’s performance on Wednesday night
fully displayed just how unfocused and insecure they become when Guy Sever is
missing. Jim Heim arrived at the rink expecting to have the night off in place of
back-up goalie Duane Jarvis and was unprepared when he was hurried into duty.
By the time, he settled down with the back-up equipment, it was too late. The
Stars locked down Myron Fiks and strolled to a 4-1 victory. “We held them to only
4 goals. That’s something,” Darren
Warbeck said after the contest. Notes: Bryan Wiebe extended his goal scoring
streak to 6 games…Jarvis recorded his first spongee
point when Wiebe tapped in the rebound off his slapshot
from the point.
