Apocalypse Now 3, The Rookies 4

Melrose – January 9, 2008 –Apocalypse Now went penalty-free for the first 7 games of the season. They took out their pent-up frustration on the Rookies taking 4 penalties but eventually lost, 4-3, ending a 6 game unbeaten streak. “I think it was a homer ref,” Jeff Wrobleski said after the game. “We were robbed of at least 10 seconds at the end of the game when the ref let his cell phone clock tick down.” Notes: Bryan Wiebe has scored at least one goal in 5 straight games…Guy Sever will miss the balance of the regular season due to mixed-up priorities.
