Apocalypse Now 3, The Reapers 2
Morse Place – January 2, 2008 – Jim Heim
was well rested after sitting the previous game and showed poise and
productivity in lifting the Apocalypse Now to a 3-2 win over the Reapers. Stay-at-home
defenseman, Tristan Carlson scored his first point for Apocalypse after 14
games including play-offs with a blistering slapshot from the point to take the
lead in the first half which the Reapers could not overcome. Late Hits: Wiebe
had the game winning goal for the second straight game…Apocalypse Now is 3-1-1
against the Reapers since 2004. They
last played each other on February 17, 2006 with the Reapers on the winning end
of the score…Myron Fiks was held off the score sheet for the first time this
year. Coincidentally, he was also shut-out the last time these teams met.
