Apocalypse Now 5, Hugh Jammers 2
Valley Gardens - February 9, 2018: Apocalypse got off to hot start in the 2018 Playoffs led by “Playoff Finney” (taking over for “Playoff Jimmy”) and propelled the team to a 5-2 win over the Hugh Jammers on Friday night. The two goals the Horsemen gave up were both on errant passes. The second was from Jim Heim who was wandering behind the net as he looked for some more action. He sent out a perfect tape to tape pass to the stick of his surprised Jammer opponent who was standing in front of the vacated net and he jammed it home before Heim could get back in the pipes.
Slap Shots:: Jason Allard's goal was his 25th career playoff goal and it was the 7th career playoff game where he had 3 or more points...Michael Moore was making his first playoff appearance in 3 years and had a goal and 2 assists.
