Apocalypse Now 3, Belgium Club Crusaders 4
Valley Gardens - February 10, 2018: Apocalypse Now thought they had a full lineup but the Belgium Club Crusaders brought out 3 full lines and with the micro-short shifts were able to use the speed and energy to their advantage. The Crusaders held on to a 2-goal advantage until the middle of the second half when Myron Fiks connected on the powerpay. Then it looked like Michael Moore had scored the equalizer but it was waived off by the referee when the Crusader player dislodged the net. When Pat questioned why they then didn't get at least a delay of game penalty for deliberately dislodging the net the ref said he would warn them not to do it again. Despite a strong finish, Apocalypse Now could not solve the Crusader goalie late in the game and the Crusaders won 4-3.
Slap Shots:: Jeff Wrobleski scored his 46th career playoff goal. More importantly, it was his 100th career playoff point in 104 career playoff games...Guido Sever was playing in his 65th career playoff game and assisted on Myron Fik's goal.
