Apocalypse Now 9, Pirates 4
MELROSE –
December 30, 2007 – It was a night of firsts for Bryan Wiebe. Among them; the
first time he was late for a game; the first points scored this year; and the
first hat trick of his career. To top it off, the hat trick was a natural one
scored all in one shift as Apocalypse Now laid waste to the woeful Pirates, 9-4
on Sunday night. Jason Allard also
scored a natural hat trick before he was removed from the Fiks-Sever
line in favour of Wiebe. “What can I say?” Jeff Wrobleski asked after the game, referring to the decision
to move Wiebe up to the forward line after playing 8 years at defense. Late
Hits: Patrick Nikolaus replaced Wiebe on defense
and was very effective contributing a goal… Jim Heim went missing and was
replaced at the last minute by the rookie, Duane Jarvis…Allard has already
moved passed 12 people into 28th place on the career scoring list
this year with his 6 points…Apocalypse Now has been realigned into a 12 team
division for the second half of the season.
