Apocalypse Now 5, Funky Monkeys 3
Melrose (TICKER) – January 9, 2008 – Jason Allard second natural hat trick of
the season propelled Apocalypse Now past the Funky Monkeys, 5-3 on Wednesday
night. Allard completed his hat trick by converting a
cross-ice pass in the left circle from Jeff Wrobleski, tucking his shot just
inside the left post. Wrobleski also assisted on Allard’s second goal and
became the first Apocalypse Now player to record 500 points in a career. Notes: Darren Warbeck returned to the Apocalypse lineup after missing the
first 6 games for some unknown reason…. The Apocalypsers
have won 4 games in a row and are unbeaten in 6…Mike Babinski
was sighted at the Winnipeg Airport and was heard telling his wife that he
would like to come out to watch an Apocalypse game this year. He was on his way
