Melrose - January 9, 2022: To be the best, you've got to beat the best. And the Apocalypse Now rose to the occasion, knocking off the undefeated Misfits, 4-3 on Sunday afternoon. Led by the first 2 goals of the season for Jason Allard and a 3 point performance from Pete Tavares, Apocalypse Now improved their record to 2-2 on this covid shortened season.
Slap Shots:Kevin Wood scored his 10th goal of the season and did it faster than any other rookie. It took Michael Moore 7 games to score 10 goals at the start of his career. Guido Sever has the record for the fastest 10 goals from the start of a season. He scored 10 goals in the first 3 games in 2004-05...Jason Allard now has 11 game winning goals in his career.
