Apocalypse Now 2, Mad Agents 8
Melrose – January 31, 2016: Quick starts and strong finishes is Apocalypse Now's formula for success. Unfortunately they didn’t get the strong finish they needed to succeed as they dropped an 8-2 decision to the rival Mad Agents. "We started getting fancy and ragging the puck on some odd man rushes but end result was three turnovers that all ended up in the back of their net." Jeff Wrobleski said.
Jim Heim still had lots of energy but a few of his errant passes to Gman while he was off his bungee chord, ended up getting intercepted and deposited into the vacated net. Defense and back-checking was abandoned and they opened it up to try and get back in the game but that plan backfired
Slap Shots:Jay Lamb was called up to fill the depleted roster and got his first point for Apocalypse Now on an assist of Jason Allard’s 11th goal of the season…Allard needs just 3 more goals to match his career high of 14 goals in a season… Richard Tuominen (pictured above) is the Apoclaypse Now trivia answer as to who was the winning goalie of record in Heim's 100th and 101st career losses.
