January 30, 2011 – Jim Heim was red hot on this cold night as he led Apocalypse
Now to a 7-0 win over the Fighting Fire Hydrants. It was his second shut-out of the season and
the tenth of his career. He topped it all off by taking his first penalty in
six years dating back to the 2004-05 season.
“I hit the guy from behind,” he said, “It was a good call.” Slap Shots: Myron Fiks
quietly became the third Apocalypse Now player to hit the 300 mark in points
with his assist on Nikolaus’ goal. The milestone
should solidify his place as a future Hall-Of-Famer…it was a big game for the
Apocalypse defense as they contributed 3 goals and 3 assists including Tristan
Carlson’s first goal of the season.
