Apocalypse Now 6, Hump Backs 1

Melrose – January 3, 2010 – Apocalypse Now clearly believe they are for real. Their 6-1 victory Sunday night came over the previously undefeated Hump Backs and gave them five straight wins for the first time in nine years. Ms.yron Fiks led the way with two goals and two assists. He has seven goals and eight assists in 4 games with Guy Sever as a linemate and senses the positive atmosphere growing inside the team’s dressing room. “I think we’ve been playing some solid spongee,” Fiks said.

Notes: With his two goals, Fiks now has 129 career goals which moves him ahead of Pete Pearson into third place for career goal scoring… Jim Moore tied Pete Pearson at 127 career goals…Bryan Wiebe moved into a tie with Jeff Wilkie for 14^th place in career point scoring… The Hump Backs beat Dal’s Destoyers, 7-0 in their second game of the night.
