Apocalypse Now 5, Hugh Jammers 3

Melrose - February 6, 2022: The last weekend of the regular season kicked off with a dandy contest between Apocalypse Now and the Hugh Jammers. Kevin Wood led the way to a 5-3 win with a 4 point afternoon including his third hat trick of his rookie season. There was some controversy when the referee awarded a goal to the Jammers when Jim Heim's net was inadvertantly knocked off. The Ref did not return the favour later in the game when the Jammers net was pushed away. "They definitely got a gift goal there." Jim Heim said. Slap Shots: This was the fourth time these teams have met in regular season play and the first win for Apocalypse. They are now 1-1-2...Bryan Finney was playing in his 150th game and got a slashing penalty.
