Apocalypse Now 3, Hitmen 3
Melrose - January 23, 2022: The snow started to fall just before game time which set off a long afternoon for Apocalypse Now. They have never been a good snow team and it was no different today. Another slow start against the Hitmen in a low scoring affair. After being down 3-1 at the half, Apocoalypse found their footing in the second half and managed to salvage a 3-3 tie. The Hitmen had a late goal disallowed as it was knocked in with a high stick. "It was close," Jim Heim said, "But the ref made the right call."
Slap Shots: Michael Moore did not score a goal. He had a 19 game goal scoring streak snapped. The last time he was held to no goals was on January 14, 2018 against the Fighting Fire Hydrants...Jason Allard had 2 goals and an assist, including his 6th career game-tying goal.
