Apocalypse Now 4, The Goonies 4
Melrose - February 3, 2019: Apocalypse Now played the 500th game in its 36 year history on Sunday and came away with a memorable 4-4 tie with the Goonies. "We're happy with the tie but I don't think the Goonies are," Bryan Finney said.
Slap Shots: The record in the 500 games is 246 wins, 200 losses and 54 ties. 2,360 goals have been scored with 2,237 against...Jason wins the scoring title for the 4th time in his career with a career high 32 points. He moves passed Pete Pearson into 7th spot in all-time scoring...Jim Heim was playing in his 87th consecutive game. He finished the season with a 2.78 Goals Against Average which is the second best in his career...Apocalypse Now had 9 wins this year which was the 8th best finish in 36 years...Myron Fiks picked up 13 points on Jeff Wrobleski this year and is now exactly 200 points back...a celebration of the 500 games was held at the Pony bar afterwards. A cake with sparklers was brought out to the delight of the players.
