Apocalypse Now 4, Golden Geeks 0
Valley Gardens
– January 9, 2011 – For the past
couple of weeks, Apocalypse Now player, Jeff Wrobleski
has emphasized the need for a quicker pace early in games, hoping it would
carry over for the rest of the night. He got exactly what he was looking for on
Sunday. The returning Guy Sever scored
in Apocalypse’s three-goal second half, leading the team to a 4-0 victory over
the Golden Geeks. “We haven’t played this type of game for a long time,” Sever
said. “I think we can build on this win.” Slap
Shots: Jim Heim, still suffering with a bad cold, posted his first shut-out
of the season and the 9th of his career…Patrick Nikolaus
missed his first game since February 17, 2007, a streak of 44 games which was
the longest current streak. The new
Ironman is Rob Moore who has played 38 consecutive games since January 9, 2008.
Bryan Finney is next with a streak of 33 games. He has never missed a game
since he was signed to the team on December 7, 2008….Click Here for VIDEO HIGHLITES
