Flaming Martyrs 5, Apocalypse Now 1

Melrose – January 12, 2014 – The Flaming Martyrs got off to a fast start and outplayed Apocalypse Now in all facets of the game and were rewarded with a 5-1 win on Sunday. Both teams looked sluggish in the second half but especially the Apocalypse who were unable to mount any kind of offensive threat. “It seems we don’t have a system.” Jim Heim said. “Maybe we should fire our coach.” Slap Shots: Jim Moore was playing in his 250^th regular season game…Jason Allard was sitting out due to a league suspension.
