Valley Gardens– January 9, 2011 – This week, Apocalypse Now were moved into the Coors Light Division which the Flaming Martyrs are currently leading. They decided something had to be done about that. Jim Moore scored a goal and added two assists as Apocalypse Now won consecutive games for the first time this season with a 5-1 victory over the Flaming Martyrs on Sunday. After a tight checking first half, Myron Fiks, who also had a goal and two assists, initiated a four goal second half that seemed to catch the Martyrs by surprise. “We’re old men,” Moore said, “I don’t think they expected us to have any gas in the tank at the end of the game,” Notes: The Flaming Martyrs were averaging over 8 goals a game prior to this game.
