Apocalypse Now 1, Elmwood Elkhorns 5

Chalmers – December 14, 2008 – The Apocalypse Now were thoroughly outplayed against the Elmwood Elkhorns on a cold Sunday night. Elmwood were the much superior team in a 5-1 victory at Chalmers, beating the Apocalypse team to loose pucks everywhere and anywhere, dominating in all areas of the ice. They took advantage of a thin Apocalypse team, (roster size not body size) that was tired and cold. It was only the continued outstanding play of Apocalypse goaltender Jim Heim that prevented the Elkhorns from winning in a worse romp.

The A-Nows didn't show any real signs of life until the final 5 minutes, but it was too little too late. “There’s no excuses here, they outplayed us,” Guy Sever said. Notes: Bryan Finney scored his first career goal in tonight's game…it is rumoured that Darren Warbeck is considering joining the team as soon as it warms up.
