Apocalypse Now 6, District Five 6

Chalmers – December 21, 2008 – For the second game in a row, Guy Sever came through with a pair of goals  including a last minute beauty to complete a comeback from a two-goal deficit and lift the Apocalypse Now to a 6-6 tie with District Five.  With 38.2 seconds left in the second half and a sixth attacker on the ice, Bryan Finney picked up the puck at the blue line, spun and threw it to Sever in the low slot.. He one-timed it and beat the D5 goalie for the goal. “We’ve been struggling,” Sever said. “Tonight, we had more determination.”  Notes: Sever’s game-tying goal was the 1700th goal in the franchise history…Darren Warbeck was welcomed back with open arms after sitting out the first 4 games of the season…Jim Moore took the night off.
