Top seeded, Apocalypse Now threw everything they had at the Dead Weights in the final half of the semi-final, desperate and determined to avoid a playoff loss and elimination.. Although the Dead Weights bent, their goalie never broke. "He made some great saves." Michael Moore said even though he managed to pick up his first career playoff hat trick.The fans had barely settled into the snowbank when Apoclaypse turned over the puck near it's own net, and allowed the Dead Weights to score just one minute in.
Late Hits: Jason Allard moved passed Gary Ledrew into 7th place in all-time playoff scoring...Jim Moore picked up his 50th career play-off point...there have been 18 playoff hat tricks by 11 players in the 30 year history of Apocalypse Now. Pete Pearson leads the way with four hat tricks...all players confirmed that they will returning for Apocalypse Now's 31st season. Bring it on!
