Melrose - February 17, 2019: Apocalypse Now put years of heartbreak behind them as Jeff Wrobleski's 3rd career playoff hat trick propelled them past the Dawg Pound, 7-3 on Sunday. Michael Moore scored the Cup-winning goal in a first half that saw the Horsemen score 6 goals."It's just like a dream." Bryan Finney said. Slap Shots: It was the 6th Championship Title for Apocalypse Now in 36 years and the first since the 2011-12 season...Wrobleski had his first playoff hat trick 30 years ago in the 1988-89 season. He is the oldest player to have a hat trick (61)...Myron Fiks wins the playoff scoring title for the 9th time. He had 13 points which is the most in the playoffs since John Olson had 19 points in 1989-90...It was Jim Heim's 40th career playoff win. He had 4 wins this year which is his personal best. The last time Apocalypse won 4 playoff games in a row in a season was in 1989-90. It was also the year of the first A-Side championship...Jason Allard was playing in his 50th playoff game...Pete Tavares scored his first career playoff goal...the team won $75 Bobby Bucks which was spent on drinks.
