Apocalypse Now 2, Cuckolds 6
Melrose - February 21, 2016: The Cuckolds beat Apocalypse Now 6-2 in the C-side final. Bryan Wiebe, playing in his 50th career playoff game, pulled a hamstring on his first shift and was unable to continue in the game. Down to two spares, Apocalypse Now tried to keep up with the younger and faster Cuckolds and sent many shots to the net. The Cuckold goaltender was equal to the task and they went on to celebrate winning the free beer ticket.
Slap Shots:Myron Fiks scored both goals in the game and won the playoff scoring race with 9 points. It was the 8th time he has won or shared the playoff point lead...Jim Moore returned to the lineup after serving his second suspension of the year... Everyone was thinking of Patrick Nikolaus who remains hospitalized due to his foot injury.
