Apocalypse Now 6, Belgian Club Crusaders 5
Melrose - February 11, 2022: Apocalypse Now was eliminated from the 2020 Playoffs by the Belgian Club Crusaders and tonight was all about redemption. A fast start was necessary for the Apocalypse team as The Belgian Club kept adding late to the game players. The goals came fast and furious in a wild game and Apocalypse came out of the first half with a 6-0 lead. The second half was a different story as the Crusaders did not quit and slowly worked their way back into the game. Time ran out however, and Apocalypse Now won 6-5. Injured Patrick Nikolaus came out to support the team and coached. "That was crazy! Every goal was scored in the north end net," he said.
Slap Shots: These teams have only met in the playoffs and this was the first time Apocalypse was able to beat them in four tries...Jeff Wrobleski's goal was the 50th playoff goal of his career. Only Myron Fiks has more playoff goals (53)...Jason Allard moved into a tie with Guido Sever with 75 playoff points. It was his 7th multi-goal playoff game.
