Valley Gardens - January 29, 2023: Today marked an impressive milestone for Jeff Wrobleski as the Apocalypse legend played in his 500th game with the team. He is halfway to receiving a Silver Stick. His team played the first half of the game with an empty net but kept the puck in the Wolves end most of the time. By the time Jim Heim arrived, Apocalypse had a 2 goal lead (4-2) and cruised to a much needed 7-3 win. "I was waiting for my pads to dry out" Heim said. Apocalypse managed to kill off a rare 5 on 3 advantage in the second half when Dave Silva took a penalty and during the delayed penalty, Jason Allard got caught for interference. "It was a good thing Heimy showed up." Wrobleski said.
Slap Shots: Wrobleski assisted on Myron Fiks' 4th goal of the game. In 500 games, Wrobo has 302 goals and 359 assists or 1.32 points per game...It was Fiks' 21st career hat trick and his first since December 30, 2018. It was the 16th time he has recorded 5 or more points in a game. He also recorded his 32nd career game winning goal.
