Valley Gardens - December 29, 2024: On a beautiful December afternoon, Apocalypse Now had an hour break between games to cool down. They cooled off a bit too much however and couldn't keep up with the Wheat Kings. Despite being outplayed in the first half, the score was 1-1 and anything was possible. The Apocalypse boys scored a late powerplay goal and made a push but gave up an empty net goal. Final Score 5-2 for the Wheaties. "I hurt in places on my body I didn't know existed," raw rookie Steve Doh said.
Slap Shots: Ironman Jim Heim was playing in his 138th consecutive game...Jared Beakley scored both goals for Apocalypse and has 5 on the season. It is believed he will be sent back down to the minors as Michael Moore is expected back next week.
