Apocalypse Now 4, Wheat Kings 3
Valley Gardens - January 14, 2024: On a cold January afternoon, Kevin Brass made his season debut with Apocalypse Now and backstopped them to a 4-3 win over the Wheat Kings. Peter Tavares and Jim Heim scored a couple of late goals to tie up the game and then with just 4 seconds left, Michael Moore went in on a breakaway and beat the goalie low glove side. It was Moore's 20th regular season game winning goal in his career.
Slap Shots: Myron Fiks and Guido Sever were unavailable to play and Jason Allard's back seized up on him prior to the game. He played in pain and managed to assist on Heimy's goal...it was Brass' 9th career game and 5th win.
