Apocalypse Now 3, Test Eagles 6
Melrose - January 28, 2024: The Test Eagles are statistically one of the best teams in the league and Apocalypse Now knew what they would be up against. Dave Silva opened the scoring early in the first half for Apocalypse and Kevin Brass stood on his head in net. It was a chippy contest that the Eagles ended up winning 6-3 but the Apocalypse were not overmatched. "They were relentless" Jason Allard said.
Slap Shots:Not having Peter Tavares, who's been a heart and soul player for Apocalypse all season, didnt help...Jim Heim missed the first half due to a self-suspension for having too much ice time in last weeks game. For awhile, it was feared that his ironman streak of 133 games in the last 12 years was in jeopardy... Patrick Nikolaus was playing in his 240th regular season game and chipped in 2 assists...Michael Moore was playing in his 80th game and scored his 183rd career goal...Alumnus Mike Allard was seen in the stands enjoying the game.
