Apocalypse Now 2, Stunned Squad 7

Melrose - January 5, 2025: The Stunned Squad did what everyone expected. They blew out another team. This time the patsy was Apocalypse Now as they were defeated 7-2. The Stunned Squad showcased their offensive prowess with crisp passing and relentless pressure that overwhelmed the opposition. Despite the loss, Apocalypse Now made history by fielding their first-ever female goalie. Nancy Lambert delivered several impressive saves under challenging circumstances but was pulled for Jim Heim after she let in the 3rd goal, 15 minutes into the first half. It was a memorable highlight to an otherwise tough outing for the Apocalypse. Slap Shots:Myron Fiks assisted on Pete Tavares' second goal and as a result hit the 500 point mark in his career. He is only the second player to reach that milestone. Jeff Wrobleski who ended his career with 665 points hit the 500 point mark in his 317th game. Myron did it in his 246th game. The puck was fished out of a snowbank and will be presented to him at the next game...it was Pete's 6th multi-goal game in his career. He has never had a hat trick...Riley Colpitts also made his debut and will be a fine young addition to this aging roster.
