Apocalypse Now 1, Regulation Size 6
Melrose - February 11, 2023: Day Two of the playoffs and the weather was cooperating. It was warm (plus 2) and cloudy so the ice was in fair shape but very slick. Apocalypse Now were facing off against the Regulation Size. They are a tight checking team and gave the Apocalypse players no room to move or make any mistakes. The game stayed close until the last 10 minutes, when Regulation came alive and scored 5 goals eventually winning 6-1.
Slap Shots: Apocalypse was without Jim Moore who tweaked his other achilles tendon, Peter Tavares who pulled a hamstring and Dave Silva who was attending a birthday party...Patrick Nikolaus took a couple of shifts as he prepares for a return to full action next season.
