Apocalypse Now 7, Ratz 5
Melrose - January 7, 2024: Apocalypse Now came out flying in their second game of the season. With an hour break between games, Patrick Nikolaus was able to run to Spartan Sports and buy a new pair of boots. It paid off as he only fell over twice in this game and the team as a whole played much better. Michael Moore got his 29th career hat trick and his 11th career natural hatty and led the team to a 7-5 win over the Ratz. Even Jeff Wrobleski got in the act scoring his first goal of the season.
Slap Shots:Michael Moore was playing in his 75th regular season game and it was a record setting game. He has scored multiple goals in 8 consecutive games...Myron Fiks also set a record. Myron has notched an assist in 10 consecutive games which ties Wrobleski's record set in 2003. Myron has 250 assists in 238 career games...Jasons empty net goal was the 150th goal of his career... Dave Silva had his first game opening goal. He has 12 pts in the 10 regular season games he has played...it was the 18th time these teams have met. Apocalypse has won 10, tied 3 and lost 5.
