Valley Gardens – January 13, 2013 – When you are the defending B-side champions, it takes more than a 7 game winning streak to really get the party started. Myron Fiks scored the opening goal and Apocalypse Now didn’t look back as it cruised to a 6-4 win over the Puck Fiction. Paul Correia played well in net as he filled in for Jim Heim who was given the day off. “I love playing for Apocalypse.” He said. “Anytime they need me, I’ll be there.” Late Hits: Rob Moore was playing in his 400^th career regular season game. Hall of Famer, Jeff Solylo presented him with a commemorative puck in a pre-game ceremony. Including the play-offs, he has played in 485 games…Michael Moore has scored 21 goals in the first 11 games of his career. He hit the 20 goal mark faster than anyone else in Apocalypse Now history. Pete Pearson had the previous mark of 20 goals in his first 12 games.
