Apocalypse Now 2, Old Beezers 1

Fort Garry- February 8, 2026 - The tension on the ice was so thick you could cut it with a knife. This was the A-Side final. Bryan Finney and the Old Beezers were facing off against the Apocalypse Now. The game did not disappoint as there was end to end action from the drop of the puck until the final whistle. And then....Apocalpse Now won their first A-Side Championship since the 1989-90 season. They have won the B-Side 4 times since then but this is beyond compare. Bobby J was on hand to present them with the Belt. "What a year," Jason Allard said. Slap Shots: Guido Sever's game opening goal was his 50th playoff goal. He becomes the fourth member of the 50 Playoff Goal Club, joining Jeff Wrobleski, Myron Fiks and Michael Moore...Riley Colpitts game winning goal was his first playoff goal...Patty Nikolaus recorded his 16th playoff assist in his 70th playoff game...Brian Mallows played goal for the Beezers in this game...Apocalypse Now has previously won the A-Side Championship twice; 1989-90 and also in 1986-87. The original red helicopter jerseys were worn both times. It is fitting that in the year they were brought back, the A-Side Championship drought ended.
