1994-95

Another ugly season. Four wins, (one by default!) sent Apocalypse reeling back down to 7th place in the 15th division. Mike Allard returned from knee surgery to encounter this horrendous year. Jim Moore led the team in the scoring derby, while Mike Keating led the team with penalties, getting tossed out of two games Both Rob Moore and Keating were suspended for a game after receiving game misconducts in a 14-8 loss to the NE Flyers. This game still stands as the record of most goals scored by both teams in one game (22). Before Rob was booted he was unsuccessful on a penalty shot (Jim had a personal best five goals in this loss).

Besides many hours spent in Teasers and Centerfolds, one of the highlights of the year was Joel Moore becoming only the fifth player to reach the 50 goal plateau.

The playoffs were rough and penalty filled. In Game One of the semi-final, Apocalypse had 6 minors, but Red Army was awarded three penalty shots to our two, and that was the difference in the game, as they scored on one, and hung on for a 2-0 win.

Game Two Apocalypse stormed back with a 3-1 win. Again, Apocalypse took 6 minors, although the unsuccessful penalty shots were equal, two apiece.

Game Three was one sided, 6-1 for Red Army, and the teams settled down with no penalties taken. So the season ended early, in the semi-finals once again.
