2015-16
There were no changes in the lineup as the year started. Michael Moore played the first 5 games and then took off for Sweden where he spent most of 2016 having the time of his life. Guido was back with two new knees and started to return to form as the year went on. Myron tested his ailing back and it held out as he captured his 6th regular season scoring title. One more title and he will eclipse Jeff Wrobleski for the most in Apocalypse history. Speaking of Wrobleski, he proved that he doesn’t need Michael Moore to still be an offensive threat. He had another two goal game which was the 62nd of his career.
Jim Moore started the year with a brand new pair of size 14 boots but ran into suspension trouble throughout the year. After reinstatement from an infamous stick swinging incident, he was gone again a couple of games later for not agreeing with Ruggles Bin Laden’s calls.
Tristan Carlson added some extra tape to keep that spinning kneecap in place but his season ended early due to a gall bladder problem.
Patrick Nikolaus had a tough year as he encountered a foot problem and was unable to play much in the playoffs. He did manage to average a point a game and score the 100th point of his career. He will be ready to go for the 2016-17 season.
Jim Heim had another stellar year although the only significant milestone he achieved was his 100th career regular season loss. Bryan Finney and Jason Allard were spectacular in the playoffs as they helped Apocalypse make it to the C-side final only to suffer a disappointing loss to the Cuckolds.
The team windup took place at the Legion on Trent Avenue at the same time that Bryan Wiebe celebrated his 50th birthday. He has already pre-ordered his wings & 3 pints of Keefe's for next year from Rob’s Pony Girls.
