Apocalypse Now 6, Hulkamaniacs 1
Melrose - February 12, 2023: There is no tomorrow for the Apocalypse if they lose today. The Hulkmaniacs were looking at their 10-1 regulation win and thought this might be an easy win. Apocalypse had revenge on their minds and fought for an impressive 6-1 win. "We kind of faded in the second half," Jason Allard said, "But Brassie kept us in it."
Slap Shots: Michael Moore broke a couple of records on this day. He recorded his 5th career playoff hat-trick, moving one ahead of Myron Fiks and Pete Pearson. He smashed the record for consecutive playoff goals with his 6th in a row over 3 games. He also set the record for most consecutive playoff points with 9 in a row. The streak was broken by Jason Allard's first goal of the playoffs assisted by Fiks. The record of 7 had been held by Jeff Wrobleski since 1989...with his goal and 2 assists, Myron Fiks hit the 100 playoff point mark. He did it in 62 playoff games...Apocalypse Now is the top seed remaing on the B-side and will advance to the Final next Sunday.
