Apocalypse Now 1, Hulkamaniacs 10
Valley Gardens - January 8, 2023: Apocalypse Now had one spare, a goalie with no pads and were playing in their 4th game in 3 days. The odds were in favour of the Hulkamaniacs and they did not disappoint. Jim Heim made many saves but there were just too many odd man rushes to make any goalie have a nervous breakdown. The final score was 10-1.
Slap Shots: Jeff Wrobleski kept up his fountain of youth year by knocking in the only goal of the game. The last time Wrobleski had 3 goals in his first 4 games was in 2005-06. It was also the 52nd time he has scored the opening goal in a game...in 530 Apocalypse Now games, 10 or more goals have been scored on them 34 times. The worst game was a 16-1 loss to the Sewer Rats in 1994. Heim was in goal for that game too.
