Melrose – January 4, 2015: Apocalypse Now have
achieved one of the best records in the Kildonan Spongee League by winning close games and wearing down
their opponents along the way. The Hitmen found that out the hard way in a 1-1
tie on Sunday night. Patrick Nikolaus scored the lone goal for Apocalypse.
“Jimmy (Heim) was the key for us tonight,” Jason Allard said, “He kept us in

These two teams last met in a physical affair back on January 16, 2011
with the Hitmen winning 6-4…Michael Moore missed his first of 4 games…with his
assist, Tristan Carlson moves into a tie with Dave Stewart for 31st
place in career scoring…Nikolaus’ goal gives him a career total of 90 points…these
two teams meet again next Sunday night.
