Apocalypse Now 3, Elmwood Elkhorns 6
Melrose - February 16, 2025: In a hard-fought championship playoff battle, the roster-depleted Apocalypse Now fell short against the Elmwood Elkhorns, losing 6-3 in front of a disappointed but spirited crowd. Actually, it was too cold for even one fan to watch the Horsemen take an early 1-0 lead but then give up 5 straight goals to make a comeback out of the question. "That was a tough loss", Guido Sever said.
Slap Shots:Jim Heim has played in 101 playoff games and 90 consecutive. He has not missed a playoff game since 1998...Michael Moore's game opening goal was his 50th playoff goal...Myron Fiks was playing in his 70th playoff game. He passed Jeff Wrobleski for the record for most playoff points (115) in a career. An acknowledgement ceremony was held in the beer gardens...the future looks bright for the Apocalypse.
