Apocalypse Now 1, Legion of Doom 7
Melrose - February 10, 2024: Penalties got the best of Apocalypse Now on this day as the Legion of Doom scored 2 powerplay goals to spark their team to victory. The Apocalypse were playing without 3 of their best players and the rookie, Roman Jaworski suffered a pulled hamstring which kept him out of most of the second half. Jeff Wrobleski also played only one shift due to an ankle injury. "It was a tough one", Patrick Nikolaus said.
Slap Shots: Jim Heim took his first ever playoff penalty on a tripping call. He was playing in his record 85th consecutive playoff game which dates back to 1999...Guido Sever's goal was his first in 10 playoff games. His last goal was on February 8, 2020 versus the Stingers. It was also his 80th playoff point in 83 playoff games.
