Apocalypse Now 2, Legion of Doom 5
Valley Gardens - December 22, 2024: It was the second game of a double-header for Apocalypse Now and were playing a fresh Legion of Doom. The result was a 5-2 victory for the LOD. The Apocalypse battled hard but the legs were not there. From the opening face-off, the Doom capitalized on their speed and youth and took the lead and would not relinquish it. "I'm hurtin'" Myron Fiks said after the game.
Slap Shots: Pete Tavares was playing in his 75th game. With his assist, he now has 68 points in the regular season...Dave Silva's goal with a second left on the clock was his 10th in 19 regular season games...Jason Allard scored the game opening goal for the 30th time in his career.
