Apocalypse Now 1, Bezerkers 4

Melrose – December 8, 2013: Already dealing with tough weather conditions, Apocalypse Now was missing most of their top line and it showed. Michael Moore, Jason Allard and Myron Fiks were unavailable for the game and the offense vanished with them. The defense was strong, though and the Horsemen clung to a 1-0 lead until half way through the second half when the wheels fell off. “They out-chanced us, five to one,” Bryan Finney said after the game. Notes: The record for most consecutive wins (16) remains intact from 2001-02. Apocalypse Now’s streak of 12 wins in a row ended tonight…Patrick Nikolaus scored the season opening goal for the second time in his career. It was his 30^th career goal.
