Berzerkers 2, Apocalypse Now 8

Melrose – January 20, 2013 –Michael Moore scored his first career natural hat-trick and career high 5 goals as he led the way to an Apocalypse Now 8-2 win over the Berzerkers. The Berzerkers caught the Horsemen off guard as they jumped to an early 2-0 lead but the hard working old-timers fought back hard for the win. “It’s freakin’cold but I’m actually sweating.” Myron Fiks said. Slap Shots: Michael Moore scored his 20^th goal in the 10^th game of the season equaling the mark set by Mike Keating in 1995-96. Keating had also played only 8 of the first 10 games…Moore’s natural hat-trick was the 22^nd one in Apocalypse history…It was only the 11^th time a player has scored 5 or more goals. Sever has done it 3 times, Wrobleski 2 times, Pete Pearson 2 times, Fiks, Jim Moore and Mike Keating one time each.
