Apocalypse Now 9, Mad Agents 2

Melrose – January 19, 2014 – Apocalypse Now have played 430 games in their history. On Sunday night, Jeff Wrobleski became the second player to hit the 400 game mark with the team. On a night when Michael Moore and Myron Fiks were putting on a clinic, Wrobleski managed to put his mark on the game by scoring his 271^st career goal and 3^rd of the season to help clinch a 9-2 win over the Mad Agents. Fiks and Moore combined for 15 points forcing the referee to invoke the “Mercy Rule” and keep the clock running at the end of the game. Slap Shots: This game was also a milestone for Jim Heim as he was playing in his 250^th game. It was his 226^th game in net but he played 24 games as a forward in the 90’s. His best year was 1998-99mwhen he had 10 goals and 5 assists in 13 games. Leo Silva was tending goal that year…It was Fik’s 15^th career hat trick and his 3^rd natural one. His 7 points equaled his career best. He had a goal and 6 assists in 2006-07 versus the B’Z…Michael Moore also equaled his career best of 8 points in a game.
